Main Brazilian stars of UFC Fight Night 77, which will be held in São Paulo (SP), Vitor belfort e Glover Teixeira made a curious bet before the event. Confident in their victories, the athletes agreed that whoever wins by knockout in less time will win a complimentary dinner from the other.

Belfort will face Dan Henderson in the main fight of the night, while Glover will face off against Patrick Cummins in the previous fight. The bet was suggested by the Minas Gerais native during an interview with both on the program “Tá na Área”, on the subscription channel “SporTV”.
“I’m going for the knockout all the time. Here are two guys looking for a knockout, so I'm going to make a bet with Vitor: whoever knocks out first, the other one will have to pay for dinner. If I knock him out first, with less time, he buys my dinner. If he knocks him out first, I'll pay”, said the miner, who had his suggestion promptly responded to by Belfort. “He chooses. If he likes it, I’ll pay him whatever he wants”, replied the carioca.
As for the evening's menu, Glover stated that this is merely a detail. “We will decide that later. [Dinner] It can be anywhere. The important thing is that the bet is made”, declared the light heavyweight.
UFC Fight Night 77 will be held this Saturday night (7) at Ginásio do Ibirapuera, in São Paulo. And Glover must be careful: in the last confrontation between Belfort and Henderson, in 2013, the Brazilian won by technical knockout after just 1min17s of combat.
