Recently, the Brazilian Chris Cyborg declared that believes he can move down to bantamweight, the same as its great rival Ronda Rousey. However, in the opinion of the former title challenger Miesha Tate, the proposal is unfair to one side. In addition to suggesting that Ronda has been running away from Cyborg for a long time, Miesha said that the right thing would be for them to face each other in a duel at combined weight.

“I know that Ronda's career at the beginning was at featherweight and it seems that, when the talk about fighting Cyborg started to get more serious, she decided to go down to 61,2 kg (bantamweight). Ronda is champion, but so is Cyborg. When you have two people who are so dominant just one category apart, to me it makes sense that they would meet in the middle (in combined weight). If Cris wasn’t also a champion she wouldn’t be saying this,” Tate said to the official UFC Tonight newspaper.

The brunette also took the opportunity to try to mount a challenge against Cyborg in the future, but established clear conditions for this to happen. 'I would love to face the Chris Cyborg, because it would be wonderful to face someone who has achieved as much as she has. I've always liked challenging myself and facing challenges as big as this, but I believe that this fight at 63,5 kg will happen at Invicta FC and not in the UFC, and I don't plan on fighting for Invicta anytime soon. If it were for the UFC, I would accept it”, he assured.

Before thinking about a challenge to Chris Cyborg, or even project a possible duel between the Brazilian and Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate There is another big challenge ahead.
