For a long time, the weight factor was the main obstacle to plans for a fight between Chris Cyborg e Ronda Rousey. The Brazilian, who usually fights at 66 kg, believed that she would not be able to get down to the UFC champion's weight, 61 kg. But, apparently, the situation has changed.

Now, Cyborg has full confidence that he is capable of moving down a category, although he recognizes that the process will not be easy. “I pray every day. Sometimes I remember some fights at 66 kg and think that it's impossible to beat 61 kg, but now I believe I can. It is in God's hands. If I do 90%, I'm sure He will do the other 10%. I know it will be difficult. I go crazy, eat less and train harder. I know it won't be easy, but nothing in my life is,' said the fighter to the North American broadcaster “ESPN”.
Believing that the fight with Ronda will finally get off the ground, the Brazilian hopes to be able to take out all the stress she has experienced with her in recent years on her rival. “I want to knock her out. I want to knock her to the ground. I'm going to put all these five years inside me. I hear her talking nonsense about me and I keep to myself, training. When we're in the octagon, I'm going to spill everything. She has never faced anyone like me, and I know she knows that,” she added.
Cyborg is expected to have her next fight, at the Invicta FC event, at an intermediate weight, 63 kg. Ronda will put her belt on the line at UFC 193, in November, when she faces the also undefeated Holly holm.
