It's been almost four months since Vitor belfort faced Chris Weidman inside the octagon. The fight, won by the North American in the first round, was surrounded by provocations, especially from the middleweight champion who accused the challenger of using banned substances and doping. But this time, the roles were reversed and it was Belfort who raised suspicions against his former rival.

The “Phenomenon” alerted to the fact that Weidman's testosterone levels were quite low at the time of the fight between them, which makes him think that the North American was using hormones, but stopped at the time of the fight so as not to be caught doping.

“Didn’t he stop his cycle? Wasn't it him who had to stop his cycle because [his testosterone] was low? I underwent treatment and paid the price. But have you thought about that, or not? Nobody ever talked about it. My level was normal, his was low. How can a boy his age have low testosterone?” said the Brazilian, according to the blog “Na Grade do MMA”.

Belfort also stated that all MMA fighters used some extra testosterone, with the difference being that he was one of the few who spoke publicly about it. “The reality is that everyone was doing their cycles, with their testosterone. I didn't do anything secretly. You knew everything I did, I was undergoing treatment. And I still have a [hormonal] deficiency, I'm working with supplements, nutrition. I lead a life of sacrifice. I don't have a common social life, my life is regimented. I'm not going to share my and my doctor's secrets, but we have been using natural things to make up for this lack. It wasn't mine that was high. His was low. There is something wrong with him”, added the fighter.

Both Belfort and Weidman already have fights scheduled in the UFC. The Brazilian faces Dan Henderson in São Paulo, in November, and the following month, Weidman defends his belt once again against Luke Rockhold.
