The war of words between Ronda Rousey and Floyd Mayweather gained another chapter recently. The UFC champion responded to the provocations made by the undefeated boxer and stated that, in fact, she is better paid than the fighter, widely considered to be the highest paid athlete in the world.

It all started when Ronda was ahead of Mayweather in the prestigious “ESPY Awards”, held by the North American broadcaster “ESPN” in July. On the occasion, the fighter highlighted the episodes of domestic violence experienced by the millionaire boxer, asking How did he feel about being hit by a woman?.

Mayweather then countered the American citing the financial factor and the amount he received to defeat Manny Pacquiao in May. “Call me when you earn R$1 billion in 36 minutes”, he provoked.

In a recent interview with the North American website “TMZ Sports”, the fighter stated that, in fact, she earns more than Mayweather proportionally, as she is known for her quick victories and the boxer is criticized for always winning in judges' decisions.

“Actually, I did the math and came to the conclusion that I am the highest-paid fighter in the UFC, and I am a woman. I think I earn two to three times more than him per second. When he learns to read and write, he can send me a message. I'm a little more efficient”, commented Ronda, ironizing the rumors that emerged last year that Mayweather was illiterate.

Ronda Rousey and Floyd Mayweather already know when they will defend their titles again. The blonde will face Holly holm in the main fight of UFC 195, on January 2nd, while Mayweather will face Andre Berto on September 12th, in a fight that should mark his retirement from boxing.
