Great tormentor of Anderson Silva in the UFC, Chris Weidman was unconvinced by the Brazilian's doping hearing, held two weeks ago. The current middleweight champion avoided criticizing his former opponent on the matter, but stated that the general public “doesn’t like lying people”.

On August 13, “Spider” received a one-year suspension, another fine and the loss of the victory over Nick Diaz for failing drug tests before and on the night of the fight. At the hearing, the Brazilian presented a confusing statement, even changing his version more than once.

Weidman, who defeated Anderson twice in 2013, putting an end to his long reign in the UFC, revealed that he did not watch the Brazilian's audience. But, from what we learned, Anderson ended up giving a negative image by not being honest about his mistake.

“I watched some of the hearing and saw some people commenting, so I don't know all the facts. I don't want to talk about something without knowing all the facts, but I saw some people saying that he changed his statement about three times. I think everyone messes up. Everyone messes up, so everyone understands that. But people don't like liars. If you mess up, man, be honest. People respect and understand, because everyone makes mistakes. People like honesty. If you change your story three times, it doesn’t sound good”, analyzed Weidman, in an interview with the podcast “The MMA Hour”.

Thus, Anderson, 40 years old, will be free to fight again in February 2016. Weidman, on the other hand, returns to the octagon in December, when he defends his belt for the fourth time against Luke Rockhold.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
