Stipe Miocic believes he has all the weapons necessary to defeat the current UFC heavyweight champion, Fabricio Werdum, if the next challenger for the category title is elected.

“He’s never fought a guy like me. I bring a lot of different aspects to my game and I'm confident I'll win the fight. I'm going to be the next heavyweight champion. His ground game is incredible and his striking is really good. But I'm faster than him, I move better than him, I have the best striking. He's a black belt, but I would use my wrestling. I could deal with everything he presented”, analyzed the North American with Croatian ancestry, in an interview with the “Submission Radio” podcast.
However, Miocic has not been confirmed as the Brazilian's first challenger. According to the words of UFC president, Dana White, the North American and Andrei Arlovski These are the two athletes in the running to get the chance. If he is passed over, Miocic has already said that he would be very disappointed. “I fought really top guys in my last fights and worked my way up to fight for the belt. It would really upset me if a guy jumped in front of me like that,” he concluded.
