Glaico França and Dileno Lopes win and are the first finalists of TUF Brasil 4

Light weight Glaico France and the bantamweight Dileno Lopes, both from Team Shogun, are the first finalists of TUF Brasil 4. In the penultimate program of the season, shown on this Monday's program (15), they guaranteed a place in the decision, defeating Joaquim Netto BJJ e Matheus Nicolau respectively. Now the finalists await their opponents, who will be announced next week, to compete in the final on June 27th, in Miami.

The program

The 11th episode of TUF Brasil was more objective than previous programs. With two fights in the same edition, the athletes' stories and preparations for the semifinals were left aside.

As the two semifinals involved athletes from Team Shogun, the commander decided not to share the coaches and the athletes had their own teammates as support during the assault breaks. The decision seems to have pleased the semi-finalists.

Before the fights, however, the coaches' challenge took place. Mauricio Shogun e Rodrigo Minotauro they had to drive excavators and tractors to maneuver tires in a huge open area. The prize would be US$10 thousand, approximately R$31 thousand, for the winning coach and US$1500, approximately R$4650 for each member of the team.

After the coaches' challenge, the first lightweight semi-final took place. In the fight, Glaico France He didn't want to take any chances in the stand-up fight with Netto and in the first few moves he took advantage of an attack from his rival to get a takedown. On top, Nego, as he is known, played his game. He opened up space, advancing positions until he reached the back. With a lot of technique and patience to wait for the best moment, Glaico secured the rear naked choke and secured his place in the final.

Matheus Nicolau x Dileno Lopes

If the fight between Glaico and Netto was decided quickly, the same did not happen in the duel between Matheus Nicolau e Dileno Lopes. The combat was very studied, with alternation in control from beginning to end.

Dileno was slightly better in the first round. He took the initiative and ended the match with a fall, which may have been decisive in the judges' decision. In the second round, the duel continued to be studied and heated, even forcing the central referee to ask for 'action' from the athletes.

In a rare moment of effectiveness, Matheus managed to land a high kick to Dileno's head who bent his knee, but quickly got up. Dileno threw a lot of punches into the void and Nicolau managed to connect with the counterattack.

With each fighter taking one round, a third round was necessary for the first bantamweight finalist to be known. The assault was more disputed, with Dileno Lopes once again taking the initiative, but this time without giving the rival the opportunity to counterattack. With ten seconds left, Matheus Nicolau he pressed his opponent against the bars, landed a knee, however, it wasn't enough to turn the match around. In the end, victory Dileno Lopes in the judges' decision.

The last finalists of TUF Brasil 4 will be announced next Sunday, in the last episode of the season. Among the bantamweights, Reginaldo Vieira, from Team Minotauro, faces Bruno Korea, by Team Shogun. Among the light ones, Fernando Butcher, from Team Minotauro, measures forces against the Argentine Nazareno Malegarie, on Team Shogun.
