Fernando Açadogueiro beats Jack Godzilla and closes TUF Brasil 4 semifinalists

The semi-finalists for TUF Brasil 4 have been defined. In the 10th episode of the series, shown in the early hours of this Monday (08), the lightweight Fernando Butcher, from Team Nogueira, defeated Adilson Jack Godzilla, from the Shogun team, and secured the last spot among the athletes in the up to 70,3 kg category.

With the triumph, Açadogueiro secured the second athlete on the team led by the brothers Rodrigo Minotauro e Rogério Minotouro in the semifinals, one in each category. In bantamweights, Reginaldo Vieira he had already confirmed his presence in the last program.

The program

The fight

The fight between Fernando Butcher e Adilson Jack Godzilla He began studiedly, without an effective exchange of blows. The Team Shogun representative took the center of the octagon, but did not start the attacks. In turn, Fernando waited for the best moment to shorten the distance.

Açadogueiro took advantage of his rival's lack of initiative, closed the distance and took the fight to the clinch. Against the bars, Fernando tried to take him down. Despite not being successful in taking the fight to the ground, he took away his rival's actions and scored points with some knees and punches without much power.

In the final moments, Açadogueiro still pulled off a great takedown to end the round and lift the coach Rodrigo Minotauro.

In the second round, Jack Godzilla he returned willing to reverse his rival's disadvantage. Adilson managed to land good punches and took Fernando down, landing on top. But, when trying to get to Açadogueiro's back, he lost his stability and was swept. On top, the representative of Team Nogueira tied up the fight, connected some punches and calmly defended two armbar attempts to emerge victorious in the judges' unanimous decision.

TUF Brazil 4 Semifinals

After defining the semifinalists in the two categories in dispute, the duels for places in the big decision were announced. With three representatives in each category, Mauricio Shogun will have two fights exclusively with its fighters. Among the light ones, Joaquim Netto BJJ faces Glaico Nego França, while at bantamweight Dileno Lopes measures forces against Matheus Nicolau.

Fights between teams, Fernando Butcher, from Team Nogueira, faces the Argentine Nazareno Malegarie, from Team Shogun for a spot in the lightweight final. Already Reginaldo Vieira, from Team Nogueira, will face Bruno Korea, by Team Shogun. Check out how the intersections turned out.
