Wand celebrates victory against Commission in the courts: 'Historic day for sport'

This Monday (18), it was announced that Wanderlei Silva had your definitive ban on MMA by the Nevada Athletic Commission (NSAC) revoked by the common court from the United States and that a new hearing, with no date yet set, will define the future of the Brazilian fighter. After the victory in the courts, Wand went public to comment on what happened and did not hold back in valuing the feat, guaranteeing that it was a “historic” event for MMA.

“Today is a historic day for our sport, historic for an MMA athlete, because we managed to reverse a sentence that was very poorly applied by this commission and I hope that this type of error will not be repeated with other athletes. That the athlete does not need to go to regular court to gain the right to work. This can not happen. You can't, you're going above the law! We want to know what the law regulates,” said Mad Dog, in a video released on his official channel on YouTube.

Wand also commented that the North American court's decision was a victory for all professional fighters and he did not waste the chance to snipe the NSAC. “When you stand up for a class, you want that class to be treated better, for it to have its rights and not just have its duties. When a body regulates a certain class, that body has to have laws and it has to follow laws,” he said.
