“I think [about the rematch], because I lost to him and I would like to clarify that. Now the time is different, everything has changed. The next fight will be different,” he said, in an interview with “The MMA Hour” podcast. “I still have that loss against Khabib. Khabib has a tough fight, Cerrone is a tough opponent. I don't know how he will come back from a serious injury, but we'll see. If he beats Cerrone, we'll fight, but I don't have a preference. I’ll be ready for either one.”

However, despite already planning his first defense, Dos Anjos stated that he is not yet thinking about the date of his return to the octagon, as, at the moment, he wants to rest. “I have had six training periods in the last 11 months. My body is destroyed. I have never had so many injuries in my life, and in the last month I started to feel different injuries on my body. I want to spend some time with my family. I don’t want to think about fighting right now,” he said.
