A year and a half after debuting on the Ultimate circuit, in November 2013, Goiânia (GO) should soon welcome the most famous octagon in the world again. The capital of Goiás is named as the venue for UFC Fight Night 67, on May 30th. The event already has its likely main fight announced, between welterweights Thiago Pitbull e Carlos Condit.

The information was released by the North American website “MMA Junkie”, according to reports from sources linked to the Ultimate organization. According to the publication, the event will take place again at Arena Goiânia, the same stage as the first edition of the UFC in the Brazilian center-west, which had Vitor belfort knocking out Dan Henderson in the main fight.
Thiago Pitbull, 31 years old, has a professional record of 20 wins and nine losses. Former challenger for the welterweight belt, in the challenge to Georges St Pierre at the historic UFC 100, Pitbull recently returned from injury and beat Canadian Jordan Mein on January 31st. In the UFC since 2005, Thiago has never played in Brazil for the main MMA organization on the planet and has not fought at home since 2003, when he beat Carlos Índio in Natal (RN).
Yes, Carlos Condit, 30 years old, has a record of 29 wins and eight losses. Former interim UFC welterweight champion and former holder of the now-defunct WEC welterweight belt, Condit hasn't fought since March last year, when he was defeated by Tyron woodley after suffering a serious knee injury during combat.
UFC Fight Night 67 will mark the third of seven editions scheduled by Ultimate for Brazil in 2015. On February 22nd, the octagon arrived in Porto Alegre (RS) for UFC Fight Night 61. On March 23rd , Rio de Janeiro hosts UFC Fight Night 62, headlined by the fight between Demian Maia and Ryan LaFlare.
