Victory over Nick Diaz makes Anderson Silva move up one position in the UFC rankings

The triumph over Nick Diaz last Saturday (31), did not guarantee the Anderson Silva only a positive result on his return to the octagon after the serious fracture suffered in his right leg, his first victory since October 2012 or the R$2 million received in wages. In addition to all this, Anderson also moved up one position in the UFC's official weight-for-weight rankings, which does not take categories into account.

Previously in eighth place, Anderson left the bantamweight champion behind TJ Dillashaw and moved to seventh place in the list, which is composed from the votes of dozens of accredited journalists around the planet. Within the middleweight division, with a weight limit of up to 84 kg, Anderson remains in first place, behind only the champion Chris Weidman – by someone who has already been defeated twice.

The former bantamweight champion lost one position, fell to eleventh place and left the top 10 weight for weight.
