UFC 183, held last Saturday (31), in Las Vegas, in the United States, gave reasons to Anderson Silva celebrate. In addition to overcoming the trauma of a broken leg and returning to the Octagon with victory, in the face of Nick Diaz, the Brazilian received a real hefty salary according to the salary list released by the Nevada Athletic Commission.

“Spider” received a fixed purse of US$600, in addition to US$200 as a bonus for winning, totaling US$800 (or R$2,175 million, according to the current price). Diaz, defeated by the judges' decision, also received an impressive salary by UFC standards, pocketing US$500 (R$1,359 million).

The duel between Silva and Diaz was the main attraction of the event. The Brazilian, who hadn't fought since December 2013, when he broke his leg against Chris Weidman, overcame Diaz in a warm fight, full of provocations and study. This was Anderson's first victory in the Octagon since October 2012.
