Frankie Edgar suggests rematch with José Aldo 'in his backyard'

Former lightweight champion wants to challenge the featherweight king on April 18th, at the event to be held in New Jersey

After mastering Cub swanson at UFC Fight Night 57, last Saturday (22), Frankie Edgar He remains convinced of his desire to be the next challenger for the featherweight belt. The North American, who challenged José Aldo shortly after his recent victory, this time he suggested the day and place for the fight to take place.

Edgar would like the fight to take place on April 18, at UFC on FOX 15, which will be held in Newark, New Jersey (USA), the city where the former lightweight champion lives. “Frankie Edgar x José Aldo at UFC on FOX, April 18, in the main fight in my backyard. Dana White, Lorenzo Fertitta, what do you think of the idea?”, wrote Edgar on his Twitter account.

So far, the UFC has not confirmed any fights for the April 18th event, which will be broadcast on open television in the United States. Edgar and Aldo faced each other in February 2013, at UFC 156. On that occasion, the Brazilian won the judges' decision.
