With just under a month to go, UFC 179 underwent a change in its card. Fabrício Morango, who would face Josh Shockley, had a change of opponent with the American's injury. His new opponent will be Tony Martin, also from the United States. The fight will be valid in the lightweight category (up to 70 kg).
With two defeats in two fights in the UFC, to Rashid Magomedov and Beneil Dariush, Martin will have a decisive fight ahead of him. His record in professional MMA is eight wins and two setbacks. Morango also comes from two defeats, to Melvin Guillard and Jim Miller.
UFC 179 will be held at the Maracanãzinho gym, in Rio de Janeiro, on October 25th. The main fight of the night will be between José Aldo e Chad Mendes, in a fight valid for the UFC featherweight belt.
