The rematch of one of the most memorable fights of the last decade has already been scheduled. Japanese legend Kazushi Sakuraba will once again cross paths with a member of the Gracie family on November 22, when he faces Renzo Gracie in the submission Metamoris 5, in Long Beach, California (USA).

The two athletes faced each other in MMA in 2000, at PRIDE 10, held in Saitama, Japan. The Japanese, who had already defeated Royce and Royler Grace, defeated Renzo by submission in the first round, when he applied a kimura and broke the Brazilian fighter's arm. The victory, another new triumph over Ryan Gracie also in 2000, earned Sakuraba the nickname “Gracies Hunter”.

The confrontation 14 years ago was the highlight of the promotional video released by Metamoris (check it out below). “I made a small mistake and he was able to capitalize. That cost me a broken arm. I failed in jiu-jistu that day,” said Renzo.

In the co-main fight, second place in the UFC welterweight rankings, Rory McDonald, will face Jonathan Torres. Furthermore, the main card also features a “surprise fight”, which has yet to be confirmed by the organization.
