Brazilian fans will have at least seven chances to follow a UFC event closely in 2015. According to Grace Tourinho, general director of the organization in the country, the most famous Octagon on the planet will arrive at least seven times in Brazil next year, even number of editions of the 2014 calendar.
Grace made the announcement during the UFC Fight Night 51 press conference, this Saturday (13), in Brasília (DF). The director also said that the plans go beyond numbers and also include holding larger events in Brazil. “Our plan for 2015 is to do more or less the same number of events as this year. However, these will be bigger events. It will be a full calendar”, said Tourinho.
In 2014, due to the World Cup, the UFC reduced the number of events in the country, initially estimated at approximately 13, to seven. So far, four cards have been held this year: Jaraguá do Sul (SC), in February; Natal (RN), in March; São Paulo (SP), in May; and Brasília (DF). Furthermore, fight nights have already been confirmed in Rio de Janeiro (RJ) in October, Uberlândia (MG) in November and Barueri (SP) in December.
