The Nevada Athletic Commission (NSAC) has issued a formal complaint against Chael Sonnen after the two doping episodes involving the former fighter. In a test carried out at the end of May, in preparation for the fight he would have against Wanderlei Silva at UFC 175, Sonnen tested positive for the substances anastrozole and clomiphene; later, for GH, the growth hormone, and erythropoietin.

According to the document obtained by the North American website “MMA Junkie”, Sonnen will have to pay a fine of US$250, in addition to all expenses related to the process. He has also had his fighting license suspended, and will have to provide a clean exam if he wants to compete again. The North American will have until July 17th to choose whether or not he will appeal the decision.
