Former bench colleague, Stann approves Sonnen's dismissal: 'There was no other choice'

Retired American, who already faced Sonnen in 2011, criticized the loudmouth after the most recent doping case

the dismissal of Chael Sonnen from the program “UFC Tonight”, on the North American broadcaster FOX Sports, had repercussions among his former colleagues on the attraction. Former fighter Brian Stann, who also serves as a commentator on the program, approved the decision made jointly by FOX and the UFC.

Sonnen was dismissed from the attraction after fail another drug test, which this time presented GH, the growth hormone, and erythropoietin. Growth hormone is an anabolic widely used by bodybuilders, while erythropoietin acts to increase the production of red blood cells, which carry oxygen to the muscles, thus increasing resistance and vigor.

Stann, who already faced Sonnen in the UFC in 2011, was submitted, was asked in his Twitter about what your opinion on the case would be. The former athlete stated that his colleague's dismissal was the only acceptable solution in this episode. “In my opinion, there was no other choice,” said Stann, who, despite almost always being respectful to his colleagues, needled Sonnen. “Adversity shows your true character. If your first instinct is to lie or hide, then you are seriously flawed”, concluded the last opponent of Wanderlei Silva.
