Sonnen: 'After Jon Jones, Belfort is the scariest guy in the UFC'

About to face his sixth Brazilian opponent in his career, in the TUF Brasil 3 coaches' duel against Wanderlei Silva, Chael Sonnen He's already thinking about the seventh name to join the list of opponents born in Brazil. Abandoning his usual provocative style, the North American praised the “Phenomenon” Vitor belfort and said that sooner or later he will meet the Rio native in the Octagon.

“I think, after Jon Jones, Vitor is the scariest guy in the UFC right now. Our paths will cross. There are two guys I have to fight for my career to be complete and they are Wanderlei Silva e Vitor belfort. This is no secret. The UFC will say the same thing. It's a matter of time. Sooner or later this will happen and, in the meantime, I’m not going to lie about the incredible work that Vitor has done, especially in 2013”, said Chael, in an interview with the “GracieMag” magazine website.

At 37, Chael Sonnen has a record of 28 wins, 14 losses and one draw. In his career, the loudmouth has already faced Brazilians Renato Babalu, Paulo Filho (twice), Demian Maia, Anderson Silva (twice) and Mauritius Shogun. Of the seven fights, the North American only won two: the rematch against Filho and the fight against Shogun. On July 5th, in Las Vegas (USA), Sonnen faces Wanderlei Silva in the long-awaited duel between the The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3.
