Wanderlei Silva published, this Tuesday (29), a video in which he explains why he got involved in confusion with Chael Sonnen in the recordings of reality show The Ultimate Fighter Brasil 3, which airs in Brazil on Monday mornings.
In one of the episodes, Wanderlei lost his temper and went to battle against Sonnen, which generated great controversy. The Brazilian was even criticized for having supported his assistant coach, André Dida, who attacked the American from behind during the incident.

The video released by Wanderlei presents the Brazilian's version of the facts, in addition to showing a summary of the old controversies in which Sonnen was involved. “This guy makes jokes about domestic violence, about the guy who beats his wife. He says that, in our country, people are dirty, that in Brazil there was no internet, that they were a bunch of monkeys. This is not promotion, this is not comedy. This revolted me, because this is not promotion”, criticized the former PRIDE champion.

“That doesn’t exist, people. Let's open our eyes. This guy is ridiculing us, he wants to humiliate us. This can't be done, enough of all this. I felt like I was on a mission to defend Brazil, because this guy is a criminal. He shouldn't be getting attention from the media and the things our country has to give. I was showing my indignation. There would be no point in him wanting to be nice to me, because I wouldn't be deceived. He wouldn’t have said all that about Brazil and I was complicit in that”, commented the Brazilian, who once again called his rival a racist.
“Deep down, I want to know that you see the value that you have. I know the value I have, and I want you to discover yours. It’s not going to be this idiot, this racist who will come and say a lot of things about us that will diminish us”, concluded the Brazilian fighter.
Wanderlei Silva e Chael Sonnen will face each other at UFC 175, which will be held in the city of Las Vegas, in the United States, on July 5th.
