On Wednesday night (16), shortly after the end of the TUF Nations Finale broadcast, the United States public watched the first episode of the 19th edition of the The Ultimate Fighter, whose coaches are BJ Penn and Frankie Edgar. And right away, in the first elimination fight, the emotions of the new season were revealed, with an impressive knockout by Daniel Spohn over Tyler King.
Tyler was the first fighter to be featured on the program and commented on his brief stint in professional football, as an athlete for the NFL's Arizona Cardinals. Father of four children, Spohn was waiting in the hotel room with his wife for the moment to enter the octagon. The preview lasted longer than the fight between the light heavyweights itself, which ended with an overwhelming knockout after just ten seconds, to the concern of King's mother – who was watching the fight.
Airing on Wednesday nights on TV in the United States, TUF 19 does not yet have an official premiere date for Brazil. The reality show tournament will feature participants from the light heavyweight and middleweight categories. The edition features the participation of a Brazilian athlete, Diego Lima from Goiás, who was chosen to make up the cast of middleweights for the team. Frankie Edgar.
