Apparently, the confrontation between Dan Henderson e Daniel Cormier must be anticipated. The fight, which was planned for UFC 175, on July 5th, will possibly take place two editions earlier, at UFC 173, on May 24th, in Las Vegas (United States). The information was released on the “Tatame” magazine website.
The meeting between Henderson and Cormier has not yet been officially confirmed by the UFC, although it is already known that there is an intention to marry the fight. The date change is a consequence of recent changes to the Ultimate calendar in mid-2014.
Originally, UFC 173's co-main event was going to be between junior gypsy e Stipe Miocic. However, the fight between the heavyweights had to be transferred to TUF Brasil 3 Finale, which will take place in São Paulo, also in May, as the fight between Wanderlei Silva e Chael Sonnen was changed for UFC 175.
UFC 173 will be headlined by a bantamweight title fight between Renan Barao x TJ Dillashaw.
