The UFC has changed the script for some of the most important events on its calendar. junior gypsy e Stipe Miocic, who would be the co-main event of UFC 173, on May 24, had their fight transferred to TUF Brasil 3 Finale, an event that will be held a week later, at Ginásio do Ibirapuera, in São Paulo.
The heavyweight fight will be the main attraction of the event in Brazil, which means the fight will have five rounds. This will be the first time that Cigano, former champion of the category, will work in Brazil for the UFC. The information was passed on by UFC president, Dana White, to the North American website “Yahoo Sports”.
The main fight of TUF Brasil 3 Finale would be between the coaches of reality show, Wanderlei Silva e Chael Sonnen. However, the long-awaited fight was scheduled for the month of July, at UFC 175, which will feature the middleweight belt dispute between Chris Weidman e Lyoto Machida. The event will be in the city of Las Vegas, in the United States.
White also stated that he has not yet finalized his plans for UFC 173, which means that another high-profile fight could still be included in the event.
