Highlight of light weights (up to 70,3kg.), Charles of the Bronx already challenged Conor McGregor after his victories in the UFC, but the fight was negotiated by the organization. In a question and answer session with fans in Rio de Janeiro, the Brazilian accused the Irishman of avoiding a clash with the organization, as he knows that, in his view, he would be easily defeated.
“McGregor chickened out a long time ago. He handpicks his fights. I think he looks at the guy and thinks 'I can win this', and then he signs the contract. He’s right not to fight me because he knows what’s going to happen,” he fired back from the Bronx.

Charles, however, wastes no time waiting for Conor. Former champion up to 70,3kg, the fighter already has a date set for his return and must face Beneil Dariush No. UFC 288, in May. In his career, he has a record of 33 positive results and nine negative results.
McGregor, on the other hand, has focused his energies on recording the film 'Matador de Aluguel' and has not yet returned to the USADA testing program. The Irishman is rumored to be the new coach of 'The Ultimate Fighter', while he has already recovered from a fracture suffered in the trilogy against Dustin poirier, in July 2021. He has 22 triumphs and six setbacks.
