Even with a troubled exit from Francis Ngannou from the UFC, Chael Sonnen believes that the organization's former heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg) could return at any time. In a video published on his channel Youtube, the commentator analyzed the Cameroonian's relationship with Ultimate.
“We’re in this position where I can’t believe it’s over. I'm not turning the page or closing the book on the idea of Francis Ngannou. Not yet. Until Francis tells us to close the book; that he is finished; that he is retired; who has moved on, I will not let that happen (…) there are ways to go and there are ways to come back. And it's not about burning a bridge or, 'What have you done for me lately?' it really isn't like that. The rule for returning to the UFC is the same as the rule for entering the UFC. Francis can come back. Right now, he doesn't want to do that. But his need may change,” said Sonnen.
