TUF Brasil 3 Finale, which features a fight between coaches Wanderlei Silva e Chael Sonnen as a main attraction, it has just gained an internal competitor. This is because, this Thursday (06), during his participation in the “Leaders Sport Summit” conference in London (England), UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta announced that the organization will promote an event in the German capital Berlin on May 31st. , the same date for which the decision for the reality show is scheduled – which does not yet have an official location.
The simultaneous promotion, however, does not worry Fertitta, who guaranteed that the events will be produced by distinct and independent teams. “This event is being carried out completely by Garry Cook's team (former CEO of Manchester City football club and current European director of the UFC). When we go to Brazil, we have a team and a complete infrastructure there to hold the events. Now, last week, when we held an event in Macau, it was carried out completely by the team located there”, revealed the director.
This is not the first time that the UFC has held two events on the same day. In 2012, both UFC on FX 6 and TUF 16 Finale took place on December 15th. However, as the first event was held in Australia, due to the time difference, it ended up being shown on December 14th in the USA and Brazil. In the current case, the time difference between Berlin and Brasília's official time is just five hours, which guarantees that the two events will actually take place on the same day. The initial expectation is that Ultimate's return to Germany after almost four years will happen sooner and be a lead-in to the final of TUF Brazil 3. In the USA, both events should only be broadcast via “UFC Fight Pass”, an online platform of the organization's on-demand content.
