In controversial decision, Thomson loses title chance and Ben Henderson recovers at UFC on FOX 10

The main fight of the night was marked by balance, but the decision in favor of Bendo did not please the audience in Chicago

In a controversial decision by the judges, Ben henderson rediscovered his path to victory in the main fight of UFC on FOX 10, an event held this Saturday (25), in Chicago, in the United States. After losing the lightweight belt to Anthony Pettis, in August 2013, 'Smooth', as he is known, defeated Josh thomson in the judges' split decision and frustrated his rival's plans to compete for the category title. The judges' decision came as a surprise to the public who watched the fight, as Thomson had control of the fight for most of the time.

Still on the main card, the Brazilians Gabriel Napao and Adriano Martins ended up defeated by Stipe Miocic e Donald Cerrone, respectively (read the article about the fight and find out what happened). In the preliminary program, Hugo Wolverine beat Ramiro Hernandez via unanimous decision by the judges (read the fight article).

The fight

With the promise of competing for the category belt in case of victory, Josh thomson He started the fight by taking the initiative and taking the former champion to the ground. Thomson still tried to apply a choke, but Ben managed to get up and Josh also climbed over his rival, in one of the best moments of the fight.

The pace of the fight dropped in the second round, but with Josh having the best moments. In the third round, Bendo tried to react. The former lightweight champion landed good strikes in his striking and took his opponent to the ground.

The fight was even again in the fourth round, but a takedown by Thomson may have been a factor, however, Henderson did not remain on his back in the octagon for long.

At a disadvantage in the fight, Ben henderson opened the game in the fifth and final round. The former lightweight champion went all out and connected with good blows. In turn, Josh responded to attacks by always connecting punches.

At the end of 25 minutes of fighting, Josh thomson expected victory. However it was Ben henderson who won the judges' split decision (48×47, 47×48, 49×46).

    These judges are increasingly causing problems. Where did Henderson win this fight?

    The guy took a beating throughout the fight and still won??? UFC showing that it has its favorites.
