With good movement in the stand-up fight, the Brazilian beat Ramiro Hernandez in a unanimous decision by the judges and recovered within the Ultimate bantamweight division. The fight was one of the attractions on the UFC on FOX 10 preliminary card, an event held this evening (25), in Chicago, in the United States.
The fight
With Luis Dórea in your corner, Hugo Wolverine showed all his boxing skills. Right at the beginning of the fight, the Brazilian worked well on his movement to strike Ramiro Hernandez and not give his rival time to respond. In the first round, the Brazilian still managed a knockdown, but the North American managed to recover and get up quickly.
In the second half, despite not maintaining the same pace, the Brazilian continued to improve. The Bahian avoided his rival's attacks and always responded aggressively in the counterattack. Losing on the judges' scorecards, Hernandes had to open the game in the last round.
Ramiro showed a lot of determination and hunted Wolverine around the octagon, releasing open blows that even rocked Hugo. Despite the scare and already appearing tired, Wolverine managed the advantage gained at the beginning of the fight to win the unanimous decision of the judges with a triple 29×28.
As a result, Hugo Wolverine achieves his third victory in the UFC and recovers from the only defeat in his career, suffered in April 2013, against TJ Dillashaw. He had previously beaten John Macapá and Reuben Duran in the octagon.
