Dustin poirier trust that your skills in all areas of fighting are superior to those of your next opponent, Diego Brandao. The two will face each other at UFC 168, on December 28, in Las Vegas, United States.
The American, who is coming off a dominant victory over Erik Koch in August, admitted that Brandão is a dangerous opponent. However, he believes he will get the better of the Brazilian whether standing or on the ground.
“He is experienced, dangerous, and knows what is going on around him. And I plan to show great superiority over him”, he said, in an interview with the North American website MMA Junkie. “I feel like I’m better than Brandão. I'm a better kickboxer, my boxing is better. My wrestling is better. If we were in a jiu-jitsu competition wearing a kimono, maybe he would be better, but I feel like my jiu-jitsu for MMA is getting better than his,” he said.
Brandão, champion of the reality show The Ultimate Fighter 14 in the United States, comes from three consecutive victories, against Joey Gambino, Pablo Garza and Daniel Pineda.
The main fight of UFC 168 will be the middleweight belt fight, the rematch between Chris Weidman e Anderson Silva. In the co-main event, Ronda Rousey defends the women's bantamweight belt against her rival Miesha Tate. Check out the full fight night card below:
