Facing a tough challenge at UFC 168, Fabrício “Morango” Camões believes he has prepared himself in the best way possible and says he is ready to “shine” in the Octagon. The jiu-jitsu black belt will face the veteran Jim Miller on December 28th, in Las Vegas, United States, and believes that the training carried out at Rafael Cordeiro's Kings MMA gym will avoid unpleasant surprises in the fight.

“I surrounded myself with the best training partners I could have, with masters Rafael Cordeiro and Royler Grace. They gave me great support and I think I will come to the fight with my 110%,” he said, in an interview with the North American portal RM Sports. “I trained with real killers, like Jake ellenberger e Rafael dos Anjos. These guys will make me ready for any kind of challenge.”

The Brazilian recognizes Miller's qualities, but is confident that this fight will be fundamental to boosting his career within the UFC. “I think the pace I will take to the fight is stronger than that of Jim Miller. He's a great athlete – don't get me wrong, I'm not underestimating him. He has great potential, but I think now it's my turn. I want to go out there and shine, take this victory no matter what,” he commented.

Despite recognizing that his main weapons are in the fight on the ground, Morango warns that he can surprise on his feet. “I improved my striking game a lot, and I was able to show that in my last fight, against Melvin Guillard. He's a great striker, but I was able to fight on equal terms with him standing up. Since I started training with Rafael Cordeiro, I have seen great evolution in my game”, he highlighted.

Currently in his second stint in the UFC, Morango is coming off a loss to Guillard, in a fight held in July 2012. Miller was also beaten by his last opponent, Pat Healy, but saw the fight turn into a no-contest after his rival was caught taking an anti-doping test.

The main fight of UFC 168 will be the middleweight belt fight, the rematch between Chris Weidman e Anderson Silva. In the co-main event, Ronda Rousey defends the women's bantamweight belt against her rival Miesha Tate. Check out the full fight night card below:
