Cormier makes his light heavyweight debut against Rashad Evans at UFC 170

The premiere of Daniel Cormier among the light heavyweights it will be in style. The winner of the Strikeforce heavyweight GP will headline UFC 170 against Rashad evans, former division champion. The event is scheduled for February 22nd, in Las Vegas, in the United States.

The fight between Cormier and Evans had already been speculated in recent days by the specialized press. On the 5th, Daniel renewed his contract with the UFC and rumors about the duel increased with the announcement of the change of category.

PUBLICITY:

Cormier, training partner of Cain Velazquez, won all of his 13 fights as a professional MMA fighter. In his last performance, Daniel hit Roy Nelson at UFC 166 in October.

In turn, Evans, who has a professional record of 19 wins, three losses and one draw, is trying to continue his climb for a new chance at the light heavyweight belt. The North American, training partner of Vitor belfort, comes from triumph over Chael Sonnen at UFC 167, on the 16rd.
