Legendary boxing trainer Freddie Roach criticized the striking game of John hendricks presented last Saturday, at UFC 167, an event in which the North American was defeated by split decision against Georges St Pierre.

According to Roach, who has trained GSP in the past, Hendricks' boxing is limited only to good use of his left hand. “That guy [Hendricks] doesn’t know anything [about boxing]. He just punches well with that left hand. If you can nullify this, the fight isn't so tough. Georges did it, but he didn’t do it enough in the fight,” he assessed, in an interview with Yahoo.

Furthermore, Manny Pacquiao's coach revealed that he was approached by the Canadian fighter so that the partnership could be renewed in the future. “He told me he wouldn’t fight again unless I was in his corner,” said Roach, who, despite having also trained the likes of B.J. Penn, Anderson Silva e Mauritius Shogun, was never one of the seconds at a UFC event.
