Wanderlei Silva seems to have readapted very well to 93 kg, the weight at which he established himself in the now-defunct PRIDE. With the victory, and the good performance, against Brian Stann in the first fight since leaving the 84 kg category, the “Crazy Dog” is already planning for the duel of the TUF Brasil 3 coaches against Chael Sonnen happen in the light heavyweight division. Furthermore, Wand wants the fight to take place at the Maracanã stadium, in Rio de Janeiro.
“I want Sonnen very strong, so he can last more than one round with me. This fight has everything to be up to 93kg. And I also want the fight to take place at Maracanã. I want it to be with an audience like the 1950 World Cup, with 110 people there, if possible. If I don’t sell everything, whatever tickets are left over, I’ll buy and distribute,” said Wanderlei.
At the end of this year, Wanderlei Silva begins recording the third edition of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil, scheduled to debut in 2014. “Crazy Dog” is one of the program’s coaches, along with rival Chael Sonnen. After the reality show ends, Sonnen and Wand will finally face each other inside the octagon.
