The phase is not good for Darren till. With just one victory in his last five fights, the Englishman was injured and had to withdraw from the fight against Jack hermansson, which would happen in UFC London on July 23rd. Now, in a sincere outburst, he spoke about his fight against depression and reveals that he is at the worst moment in his career.

“I feel like I’m in a moment like (boxer) Tyson Fury. Remember when he said he was going through that depression phase? I feel like that's where I am right now. It's very frustrating for me at the same time because I know my potential. I'm not bringing anyone down, but I'm the best and I know it. It's depressing, because the 'trollers' don't bother me, but they are just comments saying that I gave up (on fighting). And I think something like: 'come to my gym'. It's very frustrating now for me. I'm just at my lowest point,” Till said in an appearance on 'Block Assets'.

It does not stop there. Despite saying that he is not using illicit drugs or having drinking problems, Darren declared that he is not going through a good phase and, even so, he sees a comeback. He states that he has not reached his peak in his career in MMA and rejects comments about possible retirement.

“I’m not drinking or doing drugs. It's not my style, but I still feel that way. I'm not of this new age of 'Oh, I'm depressed' and mental health and all that bullshit. I come from a different era, but it makes you feel really f*cked up like that, man. Some of these comments get to you: 'Oh, retire now,' what do you mean by retire? What the hell are you talking about? I haven’t reached my peak yet, I know where I am”, he concluded.

Former prospect and former challenger for the welterweight belt (up to 77 kg), Darren till is going through a bad phase in the UFC. The Brit comes from two consecutive defeats and has not won since his debut at middleweight (up to 83,9 kg), against Kelvin Gastelum, in 2019. Despite the bad moment, 'Gorila' is still in the top 10 of the division, occupying ninth position.
