apparently, Jan Blachowicz is willing to meet an old rival in Ultimate. With his eye on the title, the Pole opened the doors to a new duel against Israel adesanya, this time for the organization's middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg). When asked about the possible descent, he stated that he wanted to 'sacrifice' himself to cut weight.
“Maybe that's why now he will be very careful in his fights so as not to make mistakes. He just doesn't lose the fight. Maybe I have to cut weight and give him a rematch in his category. If I have a chance, why not? For Izzy and his belt? I can try. When he was a Muay Thai fighter, he weighed 91 kilos. For a title, I can sacrifice a little. Why not? I will do it,” Blachowicz said in an interview with 'The MMA Hour'.

In the first meeting between the athletes, Blachowicz adopted grappling, dominated the clash and surpassed Adesanya on points. The Nigerian, at the time, was trying to become a double champion in the UFC and stopped at his rival, who held the 93kg title.
The Pole is coming off a victory over Alexsandar Rakic, in a duel that took place in May, when his opponent injured his knee and was unable to return to the fight. In his career, Jan now has a record of 29 positive results and nine negative results, in addition to occupying first place in the ranking.
Adesanya, in turn, has been criticized for his monotonous performances in the Ultimate Octagon and has already 'swept' much of the category. Now, the Nigerian must take revenge against Alex Poatán, a former kickboxing rival, for the middleweight belt.
