Almost a month after the painful defeat to Jiri Prochazka, Glover Teixeira continues in his 'battle' to get the rematch he dreamed of. In an interview with 'MMA Junkie', the former light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) stated that he is motivated for the possible new duel and admitted that he is still 'choking' with the way the setback occurred for the new owner of the belt.

“Very motivated. I want to go back there immediately. I want a rematch immediately. It's one of those things like, 'Man, I can do this. I could do this. How did I miss it?'. So I think maybe that's it. I’m motivated to get back there and win the belt,” said Glover.
The Brazilian fighter once again insisted on scheduling the second duel and admitted he was uncomfortable with the turnaround in the final minute that caused his defeat.
“I think the first fight, the way it was, everyone wants to watch that fight again. As champion, I was winning the fight and I let it go like that. This fight deserved a rematch. If this rematch happens, I don't think anyone will talk shit about the rematch, except for some guys who are there and who want the title fight”, concluded the former champion.
The loss to Prochazka halted Glover's incredible six-fight winning streak in the UFC Octagon. Professional since 2022, the Minas Gerais native from Sobrália has a record of 33 triumphs and eight setbacks in the sport.
