Former UFC featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg), Max Holloway don't believe that Conor McGregor will return to the Ultimate Octagon after suffering a serious injury. In an interview with 'ESPN', the Hawaiian said he doesn't expect to see the 'Notório' back in action and said he understands if he decides to hang up his gloves.

“With all this talk of Conor saying whatever, he never committed to coming back. He never said he would come back. And rightly so, he shouldn’t,” said Max.

The Hawaiian mentioned that the former two-division champion is in good shape financially and that he would understand perfectly if he decides to retire.

“Conor is what everyone wants to be. Everyone wants to join this fighting game, earn money and save their 'chickens'. I wouldn't even blame him if he didn't want to come back. If you want to come back, that's the competitive side of him doing it. … We’ll see what happens. All respect to him”, concluded 'Blessed'.

Considered one of the biggest names in the history of Ultimate, Conor has not fought since July 2021, when he was seriously injured in the confrontation against Dustin poirier. Despite his 'moral' still intact with the UFC board, the Irishman is not going through a good moment in his career: in his last four fights, the 'Notório' suffered three defeats and, currently, has a record of 22 triumphs and six setbacks.
