The duel against Lauren Murphy would mark the debut of Miesha Tate at flyweight. Former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2 kg), the veteran is coming off a defeat to the Brazilian Ketlen Scallop in November.

Lauren Murphy, in turn, comes from a defeat to the champion Valentina Shevchenko in a title fight UFC 266, in September 2021. Before that, the 38-year-old athlete scored five consecutive victories.
