THE FIGHT

Killys started the fight at a fast pace, punishing his rival with a series of blows and then taking him down and putting him down. Moret tried to resist the initial momentum of the Brazilian, who was already trying to take his back. Mota went to mount to try to hit his rival with ground and pound. The North American managed to resist and returned to his feet with just under two minutes remaining in the round. The two athletes entered into an intense exchange in the final minute and brought the audience in the arena to their feet. Killys took the American into the clinch in the final seconds, he tried to explode on his rival but the bell sounded.

Killys returned for the second round, already applying the takedown to Moret, who again found himself on his back on the ground. The North American tried to stay aside, but was hit by the Brazilian. Mota remained dominant in the grappling fight, even when he was unable to strike, he clung intensely to Dan, completely controlling the fight. Moret managed to escape the position and applied a good combination of knees, which caught the Brazilian squarely. Killys tried to take down again and was surprised by a submission attempt from the North American, which was unsuccessful.

Smarter, Moret didn't fall in the Brazilian's 'standard' takedown attempt at the beginning of the round. The North American managed to keep the fight standing, taking advantage of his size. Quite tired, the two athletes started to adopt striking as a strategy and Moret started to land the best blows. Seeing the 'damage', Killys put him down with just under two minutes remaining in the round. The Brazilian just started fighting on the ground, to try to win the round and, consequently, the fight. The duel ended with some boos from the audience present.
