The fight
Fábio started the duel by taking his rival into the clinch, trying to get the takedown. With good defense, Jeffery managed to remain standing in the face of the Brazilian's attacks. Aaron managed the transition and began to attack, trying to grab Fábio's neck, who was fighting to survive. With the submission apparently in place, Jeffery was pushing hard, however, the Tupiniquim athlete remained firm in the confrontation. The North American gave up his position and started to strike his rival from the side. In the final seconds of the round, Fabio started trying to take down his opponent again, however, he was unsuccessful until the bell sounded.
Fabio started the second round by landing a straight shot on his opponent and, soon after, he went into the clinch again. Jeffery continued with his sharp takedown defense and remained standing in the face of the Brazilian's attack. After failing to take down his rival, the fight returned to the center of the cage and soon after, it was Jeffery's turn to take the fight to the clinch. After a gap in Fábio's guard, Aaron landed an elbow that made the Brazilian bend his knees, then the North American applied a series of crosses that led to Fábio being knocked out and forced the referee to interrupt the confrontation.
