Last Saturday (4), in the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 56, Alexander Volkov won again after overcoming Jairzinho Rozenstruik by technical knockout in the first round. The result, however, did not come without a dose of controversy. After the fight ended, many criticized referee Herb Dean for allegedly stopping the fight too early. Among the critics is himself Jairzinho Rozenstruik.

Still on the same night as the event, the Surinamese heavyweight took to social media, spoke out and criticized Herb Dean's interruption, ensuring that he was in a position to continue in the fight and stating that he had not suffered any major damage.

"Hello everybody. I'm a little confused about what happened in the fight and disappointed that it was stopped. It was definitely an annoying situation, but I was far from giving up the fight. Did someone fall flat on the floor with their eyes blacked out? That's what we call a knockout. Alexander and I basically started trading some heavier blows. What you all wanted to see! My respect to Volkov for accepting the fight. I suffered no notable damage and would like to fight soon”, wrote “Bigi Boy”.

The defeat for Alexander Volkov was the second consecutive Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the Ultimate Octagon. Eighth placed in the heavyweight rankings, the Surinamese achieved his last victory in June last year, when he knocked out Brazilian Augusto Sakai.
