Alexander Volkov It's just joy. Featured in the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 56, an event that took place this Saturday (4), the Russian hit Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the first round. In a post-fight press interview, the fighter celebrated that his strategy was effective and considers himself one of the best strikers in Ultimate today.

“This fight was perfect, I’m very happy. I believed it would be decided standing up, that was the plan. I knew I could work standing up and show my quality. I could even fight next to the fence, but I followed my first plan. I was able to prove to everyone that I am one of the best strikers in the UFC,” said Volkov.
Still talking about his strategy, Alexander says he listened to his opponent's coaches, but found himself easily at a distance. He still says he was confident in his wingspan difference.
“I listened to his corners, who told him to be aggressive at all times. But I didn't give any space to that. I knew nothing he tried would work as I was too adjusted to the distance,” he concluded.
At 33, Alexander Volkov achieved his 34th career victory. His record now has 34 positive results and ten negative results.
