“As you can see, I'm already without the sling. I'm moving (my shoulder) well. (…) I'm not feeling any pain, but it was a complicated injury. There was a large tear in the labrum, a partial rupture of the tendon and the 'tearing' of the soft tissues. (…) It’s a surgical case, there’s no way around it. (…) As I am an athlete, and I am competing, I need to have surgery. If I weren’t going to compete anymore, I wouldn’t even need to do it,” said the Brazilian, in his account on Instagram.

“It will be six months of recovery, a good time, again. (…) It’s part of it, there’s no way around it. (…) With hard work, so that everything goes well, soon, at the beginning of 2023, we will certainly be able to return to competitions”, he concluded.
