Even irritated with the interim belt, Deiveson rules out leaving the flyweight division: 'The division has an owner'

Still surprised by the dispute between Brandon Moreno and Kai Kara France, for the temporary title, Brazilian exudes confidence on social media

After publicly declaring his irritation with the creation of an interim flyweight belt (up to 56,7kg) in the UFC, Deiveson Figueiredo decided to 'turn the page'. Linear champion of the division, the athlete, who is recovering from a hand injury, used social media to rule out his 'abandonment' from the category. The Brazilian projects an even more successful future in the group.

“One result, one judge. The ad, the champion. I already defend what is mine and that of the Brazilian people. The belt is from Brazil. The division has an owner: Deiveson 'Deus da Guerra' Figueiredo”, wrote the man from Pará, in his account on Instagram.

Still recovering from a hand injury, the Brazilian star guarantees a full recovery. For the future, the fighter promises even more brilliance.

“I come back even stronger and more surprising. Stand by,” she concluded.

Current flyweight champion, Deiveson is enjoying his second reign in the category. Dethroned by Brandon Moreno in June of last season, the 'God of War' retook the throne in January 2022, in a historic trilogy against the Mexican.

Out of action, Figueiredo will follow the interim title fight from afar. At the UFC 277, Brandon Moreno tries to get closer to a quadrilogy with Figueiredo. To do this, they will need to end Kai Kara France's good moment.
