Amidst the confusion over the upcoming fight of Vitor belfort in the UFC, Dana White made a suggestion. The president of the organization indicated the possibility of casting the Brazilian against Rashad evans. However, if it depends on the North American fighter, the fight will not happen.

Evans said, in an interview with the ESPN website, that he does not intend to face any fighter who trains at Blackzilians, his team in Florida. “I don’t want to fight Vitor. Not with Thiago Silva or Cezar Mutant. I don't want to fight anyone who trains with me. I made this mistake before and I don't want to make it again. I lost a lot of friendships because of this.”

The former light heavyweight champion refers to the confrontation against Jon Jones, his former training partner at Jackson's MMA and a friend lost by the arguments that preceded the fight, in addition to the fight itself. They faced each other at UFC 145 and Jones won by unanimous decision in an unexciting fight.

The UFC's idea initially was to confront Belfort with Tim Kennedy, but the Brazilian said, through his manager and wife, that he will only fight as a middleweight if he is against the champion of the category. Vitor also indicated as possibilities the names of Chael Sonnen e Dan Henderson.
