Sonnen stated that he would like to face Belfort at UFC 168, an event that takes place on December 28th, and which also features a rematch between Anderson Silva e Chris Weidman, in addition to the second defense of the women's belt in Ronda Rousey before Miesha Tate.
“Vitor has a number 1 contender title. If he is willing to put that on the line, not only will I fight him, but I will do it on December 28th. Weidman defends her title, Rousey defends her title, and, Vitor, you have a title. I want you to defend him against me”, said Chael.
