In analyzing the São Paulo native's next commitment, 'Diamante' bet on the Tupiniquim's versatility in the face of the aggressiveness of Justin gaethje. The fighters face each other in the UFC 274, on May 7th.

“Charles has more ways to win. Justin (to win) needs to knock him out. I believe that Charles can knock out, he can also submit, or win on points”, said Poirier, in an interview with 'Inside Fighting'.
Captured by the talent and evident evolution of the lightweight champion in December 2021, Dustin continued analyzing the Brazilian's next confrontation. Despite not minimizing Justin's 'firepower', the 'Diamond' manages to find alternatives to suggest the success of his former rival.
“I’m not saying Gaethje won’t knock him out. Charles is a guy who can handle a lot of attacks. In your last two fights, if he was injured, he usually finishes you off. He has a lot of strength, so if you are touched, he may not recover. It’s an interesting matchup,” he concluded.
On May 7, Do Bronx will step into the octagon for the first time in the 2022 season. Against Gaethje, the Brazilian will attempt his second title defense. In the first, the São Paulo native got past Dustin, submitting the North American in the third round.
