“If you're so tough, Kurt Zouma, try kicking me. Crap. I have no tolerance for animal cruelty,” Blachowicz wrote in his 'Twitter' official.
Supposedly recorded by his brother, the French defender appeared abusing a cat inside his home in England. In addition to kicking, he slapped the animal in the face and hit the animal with a pair of shoes, which ran away in fright. The video caused a huge uproar and West Ham fans instantly called for the athlete to be fired from the team. Local police are still investigating the incident.
Negative repercussion
In an official statement, West Ham – the club where the player has played since August 2021 – condemned the attitude and decided to fine him 250 pounds (around R$2 million). Furthermore, the sports equipment supplier Adidas also canceled the current contract with the athlete. According to the British outlet 'Sky Sports', Zouma's cats are doing well and were removed from the player by authorities.
